1. Introduction to the major

The major attaches to the Department of Chinese Language and Literature Education, has a developing history of more than 50 years, and ranks among the provincial undergraduate universities in respect of academic level and research ability.

Training Aim: Through learning, make students master the basic knowledge , theory and skills of the professional field of Chinese Language and Literature, know well the basic laws and methods of modern teaching in the middle school, have relatively higher writing ability; skill in the computer knowledge and a foreign language.

1. Introduction to the major

The major attaches to the Department of Chinese Linguistics and Literature, and ranks among the provincial undergraduate universities in respect of academic level and research ability.

Training Aim: Through learning, make students master the basic knowledge, theory and skills of the professional field of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, know well the basic laws and methods of teaching Chinese as a second language, have relatively higher ability of teaching Chinese as a second language and research. Meantime, strengthen the curriculum setting and the training of basic teaching skills in the professional field of Chinese Linguistics and Literature and English Linguistics and Literature to make students have relatively higher humanistic quality, stronger ability of applying Chinese language and English language, and more comprehensive integrated accomplishment.

Employment Directions: Mainly cultivate teachers and professional research talents for domestic and foreign secondary schools and institutions for higher learning, and advanced specialized talents engaging cross-culture exchange or relevant jobs for domestic foreign-related enterprises and public institutions.

Chinese Ancient Literature

1. Introduction to the major

Training Directions: The major of Chinese Ancient Literature enrolls and trains postgraduates in three directions of literature of six dynasties of pre-Qin, Han and Wei, literature of Tang and Song dynasties, literature of Yuan, Ming and Qing.

Training Aim: Master systematically and solidly outstanding works and masterpieces of Chinese ancient literature, have higher creativeness in the literature, take the job of teaching the course of Chinese ancient literature in institutions for higher learning; have stronger ability to analyze and settle problems, do independently research on Chinese ancient literature, and have rigorous and realistic style of study. Skill in a foreign language, and read foreign data related to the profession; have the ability of computer application, document retrieval and reading; master certain knowledge of relevant disciplines, and have higher adaptability and pioneering.

Length of Schooling: 2-4 years

Credits: qualified for each exam (non-degree courses are 60 points, degree courses are 75 points) with more than 30 points.

(Biography of Zhang Jinchi)

Zhang Jinchi was born in 1937, and graduated form the Department of Chinese in Beijing University in 1963. Now he is the professor of the College of Literature in Harbin Normal University, and doctoral supervisor. He has published many monographs of ¡°Twelve Discussion on Red Mansions¡±, etc. and articles, which is about 1.6 million words. He is one of the first sponsors in Redology Institute of China. He was awarded the title of ¡°National Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Expert¡± by the Ministry of Personnel in 1986, enjoyed Government Special Allowance of the State Council in 1991, won the first National Outstanding Teachers for Institutions of Higher Learning Prize in 2003 and Lifetime Achievement Award for Cultural Construction of Longjiang in 2008. Social part-time jobs: the editorial board of ¡°Literary Legacy¡± and ¡°Learned Publication of A Dream of Red Mansions¡±, etc.

(Biography of Guan Siping)
Guan Siping, is male, born in October, 1953, the professor of the College of Literature of Harbin Normal University, Doctoral supervisor, and the dean of the College of Literature.

1984-1987 studied for a master¡¯s degree in the College of Literature of Harbin Normal University.
1987-1996 worked in the Teaching and Research Section of ancient literature in Harbin Normal University.
1996-1999 studied for a Doctor¡¯s degree in the College of Humanities of Shanghai Normal University.
1999-2008 worked in the Department of Chinese of Harbin Normal University, and took the post of vice- director of the Department of Chinese meantime.
2008-2011 worked in the College of Literature of Harbin Normal University, and took the post of the dean.

He mainly works on teaching and research on the major of Chinese ancient literature, and the main research direction is Chinese ancient novels and operas. He has published three academic works, more than one hundred of academic articles in journals, such as ¡°Xinhua Abstract¡±, ¡°Literary Legacy¡±, ¡°Literature and Arts Studies¡±, etc. He presided at three projects, such as Humanities and Social Science Fund Projects of Ministry of Education, and the Humanities Social Science Fund Projects of Heilongjiang Province, etc. He has received ten research awards, such as the second prize for ¡°provincial Excellent Social Science Achievements¡±, the first prize for ¡°Excellent Social Science Achievements of Provincial Universities¡±, and so on.

(Biography of Liu Zhongwen)

Liu Zhongwen, is male, Han nationality, born in 1964 in Qinggang County in Heilongjiang Province, doctor of arts.

He graduated from Ningxia University with the master¡¯s degree in July, 1990 majoring in Literature, from Harbin Normal University with the doctor¡¯s degree in June, 2003 majoring in Literature. From September, 2004 to April, 2010, he had been engaging in postdoctoral research in postdoctoral mobile station in the College of Literature of Suzhou University. From September, 2009 to June, 2010, he was the visiting scholar in the Department of Chinese of Fudan University. Recently, he is the professor in the College of Literature of Harbin Normal University, postgraduates¡¯ supervisor. Meantime, he is also the vice-chairman of China Tao Yuanming Research Institute and a member of China Verse Institute.

(Biography of Hou Min)

Hou Min, female, born in February, 1970, the vice-president of the College of Literature of Harbin Normal University, the professor of Ancient Literature Study, Doctor of Arts, and postgraduates¡¯ supervisor.

(Biography of Zhan Xuecheng)

Zhan Xuecheng, is male, Han nationality, born in 1965 in Nongan in Jilin Province. He graduated from the Department of Chinese of Jilin Normal University in July, 1988 with the literary bachelor¡¯s degree. He studied for master¡¯s degree in the Postgraduate College of Jilin University majoring in Ancient Literature in September, 1995, and graduated in September, 1997 with the literary master¡¯s degree. He took the job in the Basic Courses Department of Jilin University of Finance. He was enrolled the postgraduate student for doctor of Ancient Literature of Harbin Normal University in September, 2011, and graduated in June, 2004, and got the literary doctor¡¯s degree in January, 2005. In November, 2004, he taught in the Department of Chinese of Hulan College of Harbin Normal University. Now he is the associate professor of the College of Literature of Harbin Normal University, and the deputy dean of the department of College Chinese. He has published 8 academic articles in core journals, such as ¡°The Northern Forum¡±, ¡°Academic Exchange¡±, etc, participated 1 provincial subject, presided 1 project of Humanities Social Sciences Projects of Provincial Ministry of Education. His doctoral thesis Five Cemonies System and Dynasty Social Life in The Book of Songs is to be published.

(Biography of Li Kang)

Li Kang, born in 1971, has the postgraduate education background and doctoral degree. He graduated in the Department of Chinese of Harbin Normal University in 2003 with the literary doctor¡¯s degree. Since 1997, he has taught in the Ancient Literature Study in the Department of Chinese of Harbin Normal University. His research mainly focuses on the direction of literature of Tang and Song in the Chinese Ancient Literature. He has published one monograph ¡°Theory of Art of Tang Poetry and Song Ci¡± (coauthor), many articles of On the Poetic Tendency of Zhang Yan's Theory of Ci and the Mastery of the Essential Feature of the Style of Ci, etc. He has presided two provincial social science planning projects of ¡°Research on Song Ci Idioms¡± and ¡°Research on Adherents of the Southern Song Dynasty¡±. He has won the second prize for ¡°Class Competition of Young Teachers¡± and ¡°Teaching Quality Award¡± for many times.

Chinese Current and Contemporary Literature

1. Introduction to the major
Chinese History of Current and Contemporary Literature is the backbone discipline of the Department of Chinese, dividing into two directions of current literature and contemporary literature, and got the second national current and contemporary literary master¡¯s degree conferring right in 1984. After a few generations of teachers¡¯ unremitting efforts, it has formed an echelon-reasonable and development-robust academic group. Recently, there are 2 professors, 3associate professors, 2 lecturers, among which 5 have the doctoral degree (3 post doctorates), 2 are postdoctoral candidates for the lecturers of Chinese History of Contemporary Literature. The Chinese Current and Contemporary Literature Study consists of the following present teachers: Guo Li, Liu Shaoxin, Wang Shudong, Chen Aizhong, Xu Zhiwei, Song Yang, Dong Xiuli. This is an academic science and research group full of energy and academic potential, and it also such a teaching group that is full of vigor and creative spirit.

The curriculum teaching system of Chinese History of Current and Contemporary Literature has been constantly improved. Select with focuses some representative writers and works to implement case analysis on the basis of analyzing and interpreting Chinese current and contemporary literary thoughts and the general creative situation, and with an open and new theory critic perspective, lead students to grasp the development process of Chinese current and contemporary literature, improve students the aesthetic ability of literary appreciation, cultivate students' problem consciousness and the ability to use certain literary theory knowledge to analyze works and cultural phenomenon. Through the study of the subject, grasp the trend of Chinese History of Current and Contemporary Literature macroscopically, evaluate, analyze and confirm the historical status of important writers and literary schools and the value of the works; Correctly sum up the successful experience and lessons to be learned of Chinese literature in the process of modernization, and promote the prosperity of socialist literature industry.

2. Curriculum Introduction
In the teaching design of the course, demand the students widely read current and contemporary literature works, think the characteristics of current and contemporary literature creation when reading to enrich perceptual knowledge, teachers should inspire the students¡¯ interest in reading, and do some proper systematical training on reading, evaluation, and writing, so that the students can write a qualified class paper.

In teaching methods, from actual conditions, adopt teacher-centered teaching model, combined with teaching methods of premeditated assigning extracurricular independent study and reading, appropriate assigning class discussion and extracurricular work, meantime, according to need, apply with a plan some modernized teaching means and auxiliary materials, such as the appreciation, and films closely related to the course, etc to deepen the teaching.

The curriculum of Chinese History of Current and Contemporary Literature sets two directions in concrete teaching practice: current literature and contemporary literature, and are offered in the first and second academic year respectively, and 140 hours for each.

3. Tutors

Guo Li, female, born in June, 1964, is the professor in the College of Literature of Harbin Normal University, master¡¯s tutor, and doctor of literature, the pits personnel of the postdoctoral flow workstation of the Chinese Department of Chinese People's University. Now she is the member of Chinese Writers Association, the standing director of women literature research association of Chinese contemporary literature research society, the standing director of xiao Hong literature research association of Heilongjiang province. Now, she is the academic leader of the subject of Chinese Current and Contemporary Literature in Harbin Normal University, and the dean of the teaching and research office.

She has got the title of excellent teachers in Harbin Normal University in year 2007-2009. As for scientific research, she presided and completed many provincial and ministerial subjects, until now, she has already published 3 works and dozens of national core articles, which are reprinted full text by National People¡¯s Congress newspapers, etc. The monograph ¡°Life Consciousness of China Female Literature in the 20th Century¡± won the second ¡°China Women¡¯s Literature¡±, the first prize for ¡°Excellent Social Science Achievements of Provincial Universities¡±. The research results have extensive effect in this field. The paper Life Consciousness: the Theoretical Origin of Chinese Female Literature in the 20th Century won the third prize for the 13th ¡°Excellent Social Science Achievements of Heilongjiang province¡±.

Liu Shaoxin, male, is the professor in the College of Literature of Harbin Normal University now, the postgraduates¡¯ tutor of the Chinese current and contemporary direction, director of Chinese contemporary literature association, the secretary general of provincial contemporary literature of social sciences research association, the member of Chinese novel association, and the director of Narratology Institute. He finished the learning in was the aesthetics and arts teaching-assistant class with certificate in Fudan University from 1986 to 1988. He was the visiting scholar together with Chen Sihe of Fudan University in 2000. He mainly engages the study on fictions in the twentieth century, especially on the contemporary fictions, and has published more than 20 articles in ¡°Reading¡±, ¡°Study and Exploration¡±, ¡°Comments on Contemporary Writers ¡°, ¡°Self-study Guidance to Chinese¡±, ¡°Study of Higher Education¡±, two monographs: ¡°Sound of Nature¡ªA Cheng¡±, ¡°Contemporary Novel Narratology¡±. His scientific research focuses on ¡°stressed reading", "detailed reading". He mainly offers courses of the Chinese Contemporary literary history and contemporary novel Narratology. He once won the award for teaching and scientific research of Harbin Normal University for several times. He was enrolled the Ph.D. student by the classical literature yuan,Ming, Qing dynasty literature direction of Harbin Normal University, with the plan of publishing Ph.D. thesis of Narrative Research on Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio in China Social Science Press in 2010.

Xu Zhiwei was born in 1976 in ZhaoDong in Heilongjiang province. In 2006, he graduated from the Department of Chinese of East China Normal University with doctor's degree majoring in literature. Now he is an associate professor at the College of Literature of Harbin Normal University, mainly engages in the research on Chinese modern literature and culture. In recent years, he published more than 40 articles in ¡°The Literature Review¡±, ¡° Academic Monthly Magazine¡±, ¡°People¡¯s Daily¡± and others, among which there are many texts have been reprinted or excerpted by ¡°Xinhua Abstract ¡°, ¡°China Daily¡±, etc. He published a monograph ¡°After ¡®Farewell to the Revolution¡¯¡±, and edited ¡°Longjiang Contemporary Literature Series ¡¤ Theory Criticism¡±, etc. He had won prizes for ¡°Excellent Social Science Achievements of Heilongjiang province¡± several times. The research plan has won ¡°China¡¯s Postdoctoral Scientific Fund¡±, ¡°Humanities and Social Science Research Fund of the Ministry of Education¡±, ¡°Philosophy Social Science Fund of Heilongjiang Province¡±.

Chen Aizhong, male, is Ph.D in literature, associate professor, and master¡¯s tutor. As for teaching, he won more than 6 prizes, such as the first Teaching Rookie Award Regular University of Heilongjiang Province, the first prize for Teaching Quality of Harbin Normal University, award of excellence for first ¡°Ning Qikun Classroom Teaching for Young and Middle-aged Teachers¡±, etc. As for the scientific research, he has published more than 30 papers at home and abroad since 2000, and one monograph ¡°Study of New Poetic Language in Current China¡±. Grammar Teaching Method

1. Major Introduction

It is divided into two directions, language courses and teaching theory, master of subject teaching (Chinese) major.

2010 Full-time education for the master degree (Chinese teaching theory direction).

Training Target

Cultivate the high quality primary and secondary school teachers who master the modern education theory and have strong education teaching practice and research ability. The specific requirements are:

(1) Support the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, love education career, have good moral character, observe discipline and abide by the law, aggressive and brave to innovate

(2) Have a good knowledge and self-cultivation, solid professional foundation, understand the frontier and developing trend of the subject.

(3) Have a strong educating practice ability, can be competent for the related education teaching work, use the learnt theory and method under the guidance of the modern education theory, use modern education technology proficiently to solve practical problems in educating and teaching; have an ability of integration theory and practice, take the advantage of yourself to develop creative educating and teaching work.

(4) Be familiar with the basic education course reform, master the new concept content and method of the basic education course reform

(5) Can use a foreign language to read a foreign documentary material of own major.

Learning Methods and Term

Take the full-time learning method, learning term is generally for 2.5 years, and the first year to complete the course learning.

2010 Courses and Teaching Theory (Subject Teaching, Chinese) Master Degree

Training Target

Master the solid basic theoretical knowledge of the major, have ability to engage in the research and teaching work independently, specialized personnel has a rigorous attitude in learning and proficiently master a foreign language.

Training Direction: Chinese subject teaching.

Learning Term: 3 years

2. Course Introduction

2010 Full-time education master degree (Chinese teaching theory direction)

The setting of the curriculum shall take the principle of integrading theory with practice, it is divided into four modules including basic courses of the degree, major compulsory course, major elective courses and practice teaching. Specific for: basic courses of the degree 6 subjects, 15 credits; major compulsory course 4 subjects, major elective courses 3 subjects, 3 credit; practice teaching 8 credits, total credits shall not be less than 36 credits. The details of curriculum design, see the attached form.

Supplement study course: after entering, non-normal education students should study education, psychology, subject teaching theory for a supplement; cross major graduates of normal major after entering, shall take 2 subjects professional basics course. The course shall accompany the corresponding normal major undergraduate students to attend the exam and obtain a qualified score, non-credit.

Practice teaching: it shouldn't be less than 1 year according to the time principle. The practice form includes education practice, education training, micro teaching, educational survey, course analysis, class and course management practice, thereinto, the practice activity time of going into the primary and middle school shouldn't be less than half year (create conditions, as far as possible to take the way of work placement)

Teaching Method

Pay attention to the integration of the theory and practice, take the way of attending class, panel discussion, case teaching, cooperative learning, simulative teaching, etc. Establish the mentor group who shall be responsible for the guidance of the graduate students, and the group should implement the dual mentor system. Employ the experienced senior teacher of primary and secondary school to be the instructor, who should take charge of the guidance and implement of teaching and practice.

Degree Thesis and Degree Awarded

After the entering of the full-time education master, one should confirm the instructor and confirm the degree thesis title in the end of the second semester, write the working plan of the thesis, in the end of the third semester, one should have the argumentation of the opening report of the thesis. One could compose the degree thesis after passing the opening argumentation. Establish the mentor group to take charge of guidance of the full-time education master major degree graduate student.

The selective topic of the degree thesis should be closely connected with the basic education practice, and derive from the actual problems of the education and teaching of the primary and secondary school. The form of the thesis can be diversified, such as research report, case analysis, based curriculum development, textbook analysis, teaching case design, etc. In principle, the writing time of the full-time education master thesis shall not be less than a year. Number of words shall be no less than 15000 words.

The degree thesis can be applied to participate in the thesis defense after the approved signature of the mentors both in and out. Among the thesis commentators and

rejoin committee members, there should be at least one primary and secondary school teacher with senior teacher title, or teaching research personnel.

The students who complete the regulated credits and pass the thesis defense, through the audit by the degree confering unit and degree evaluation committee, shall be awarded educational master major degree and gain the master diploma.

Others

This principle applies to the full-time education master accepted by the National Examination (including rural education master), implement since 2009, and the graduate school is responsible for the explanation.

2010 Courses and Teaching Theory (Subject Teaching, Chinese) Master

The total credits of the course is 32 to 40, the cross major students shall study 3 subjects of undergraduate course for supplement (not counted in the total credits), the basic credits requirement of the students' graduation is 32 credits.

Study method: the study method of the graduate student is mainly self-study, the mentor shall make necessary lectures and counselling; train a graduate student to implement three combination: mentor individual guidance combines with mentor group guidance; systematic learning combines with scientific research; the systematic learning combines with practice survey.

Assessment methods: the assessment of the degree course is mainly written examination. The qualified score of the degree subject examination is 75.

Scientific research requirement: publish at least one academic thesis related to own major during the postgraduate period independently.

Foreign language requirement: foreign language score should meet the requirement of school.

Degree thesis writing and degree awarded: the writing requirement of the major degree thesis has specialized provisions, which can see the specialized files. The students have to complete the degree thesis according to the regulation and then one can obtain the qualification of application for defense and awarded the degree.

Li Shuxin, female, 36 years old, Doctor of Literature, associate professor, engaged in the major of comparative literature and world literature. Xu Jinling (1972- ), female, Harbin Normal University, College of Arts, associate professor, doctor. Chen Ying, born in 1978, Harbin. In 2003, graduated from Harbin Normal University, Department of Chinese language and literature, obtained the master degree and taught there from then on. In 2008, Chen Ying graduated from Nanjing Normal University and gained doctor degree. In 2009, Chen Ying was appointed to be the associate professor. Xu Guangcai, 41 years old, doctor, associate professor, director of ancient Chinese staff room. In 2004, Xu Guangcai graduated from Harbin Normal University with a master's degree of literature. In the same year, in September, Xu Guangcai was admitted to Jilin University, institute of ancient books, studied ancient words from Mr. Wu Zhenwu, in 2008, Xu Guangcai gained the doctor's degree. 1. Major Introduction

This subject was established since 1950 s, which has a solid foundation and gained the master's degree awarded right in 1984. After the year of 2000, under the lead of academic leader, professor Feng Peiyun, the subject gained a rapid development, in 2003, gained the doctor's degree awarded right, in 2004, it is evaluated the provincial key subject and in 2005, the provincial key liberal arts research base was established.

      Zhang Jinchi was born in 1937, and graduated form the Department of Chinese in Beijing University in 1963. Now he is the professor of the College of Literature in Harbin Normal University, and doctoral supervisor. He has published many monographs of ¡°Twelve Discussion on Red Mansions¡±, etc. and articles, which is about 1.6 million words. He is one of the first sponsors in Redology Institute of China. He was awarded the title of ¡°National Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Expert¡± by the Ministry of Personnel in 1986, enjoyed Government Special Allowance of the State Council in 1991, won the first National Outstanding Teachers for Institutions of Higher Learning Prize in 2003 and Lifetime Achievement Award for Cultural Construction of Longjiang in 2008.       Guan Siping, is male, born in October, 1953, the professor of the College of Literature of Harbin Normal University, Doctoral supervisor, and the dean of the College of Literature.
      1984-1987 studied for a master¡¯s degree in the College of Literature of Harbin Normal University.
      1987-1996 worked in the Teaching and Research Section of ancient literature in Harbin Normal University.
      1996-1999 studied for a Doctor¡¯s degree in the College of Humanities of Shanghai Normal University.
      1999-2008 worked in the Department of Chinese of Harbin Normal University, and took the post of vice- director of the Department of Chinese meantime.

Li Zhouliang Personal Introduction
      Li Liangzhou is the Doctoral supervisor of Chinese ancient opera.
