Science Education (Normal Category; Undergraduate; Education Period: Four Years; Science and Engineering Category)

Cultivation Objectives: to cultivate versatile talents morally, intellectually and physically developed, adapting to the 21st centuryí»s development of education and socialism modernization, to cultivate comprehensive professionals good at both arts and sciences with good learning ability, communication skills, practical skills, social adaptability and innovation entrepreneurship.

To cultivate talents with good scientific quality and humanities, who can adapt to our countryí»s development of education and primary and secondary schoolsí» science classes and technology classes which have been finely reformed.

To cultivate knowledgeable talents who can engage in science and technology policy planning, technology management and assessment, scientific and technological quality investigation, the popularization of science and science communication in various units like governments, educational and administrative institutions, science and technology venues, enterprises and medias.

    To cultivate talents with solid knowledge base, rigorous scientific spirit, a good scientific way of thinking, a strong desire to explore, being able to pursue the masterí»s degree of history of science and technology, philosophy of science and technology, communication of science and technology, sociology of science and technology.

History of Science and Technology

1. Major Introduction

Cultivation Orientations: History of Science and Technology Major recruits and cultivates postgraduates in three orientations, namely, Russia (Soviet) history of science and technology, comprehensive study of the history of science theory, the history of technological innovation.

Cultivation Objectives: to cultivate professional teachers and researchers with solid professional knowledge and correct political orientation, passion of socialism motherland, lofty ideals and professionalism, modern scientific and education ideas, and morally, intellectually, physically, and aesthetically developed; to cultivate knowledgeable talents who can engage in science and technology policy planning, technology assessment, science education, the popularization of science and science communication in various units like governments, educational and administrative institutions, science and technology venues, enterprises and medias.

Educational Period: 2-4 Years

Credit Requirements: passing examinations of all subjects (60 points for non-degree classes, 75 for degree classes) and receiving more than 30 credits.

3. Guide Teacher (Personal Introduction)

Sun Yuzhong, female, born in 1964, doctor, professor, is currently the head of Science& Technology Education Department, Harbin Normal University, reserved academic leader of provincial key discipline, master instructor of Science& Technology Philosophy, History of Science and Technology, the winner of Outstanding Youth Foundation of Harbin Normal University, vice chairman of Heilongjiang Natural Dialectics Institute.

Her teaching and research interests include philosophy of science& technology, theory of science history and Heilongjiang local history of science, published more than 20 papers on domestic journals, among which there are 5 papers on national core journals, 6 on core journals, published 3 monographs, edited one of the state-complied textbooks of Heilongjiang First Sciences Postgraduate Textbooks, presided over a project of Heilongjiang Social Science Fund, 4 projects of Humanities and Social Sciences of Department of Education, one project of Outstanding Youth Foundation of Harbin Normal University, participated in one project of National Social Science Fund, obtained a third prize and honorable prize of Provincial Social Science Outstanding Scientific Research, a second prize and third prize of Heilongjiang Natural Science& Technology Academic Research.

Wu Yongzhong, male, born in 1963, professor, doctor, master instructor, received the PhD degree in philosophy from Technology& Society Institute, Northeast University, and post doctorate from Philosophy Institute, CASS, is currently director and secretary-general of China Natural Dialectics, executive director of STS Professional Committee of China Natural Dialectics, expert of Economic Advisers Council of Heilongjiang Science& Technology, vice executive president of Heilongjiang Natural Dialectics, vice dean of Marxism College of Harbin Normal University, head of Technology Culture and Innovation Research Center of Harbin Normal University. Wu Yongzhong has presided over and engaged in 23 projects of National and Heilongjiang Scientific Research Fund, published 2 books of his own and 2 books with others, more than 60 papers on national key journals and conferences. Wu Yongzhong has obtained a honorary certificate of National Long-term Science& Technology Strategic Plan, the honorary prize of Heilongjiang Social Science Outstanding Research by his monograph, the second prize and two third prizes of Heilongjiang Social Science Outstanding Research by his papers, the first prize of University Humanity Social Science Excellent Research Achievement of Heilongjiang Province, two first prizes of National Conference Best Papers

Sun Yuzhong, female, born in 1964, doctor, professor, is currently the head of Science& Technology Education Department, Harbin Normal University, reserved academic leader of provincial key discipline, master instructor of Science& Technology Philosophy, History of Science and Technology, the winner of Outstanding Youth Foundation of Harbin Normal University, vice chairman of Heilongjiang Natural Dialectics Institute.

Li Qingxia, female, professor, received the PhD degree from Heilongjiang University in 2004. His research interests include Marxism philosophy and culture philosophy. He was promoted as national excellent teacher in 2009, Longjiang scholar in 2010; provincial outstanding teacher in 2011. Li Qingxia presided over Heilongjiang excellent course "Basic Principles of Marxism" in 2005 and the teaching group of Heilongjiang Ideological and Political Theory in 2008, obtained the Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award of Heilongjiang Province in 2007, successively presided over Ministry of Educationí»s New Century Talent Project, Heilongjiang Social Science Planning Project and Heilongjiang New Century Talent Project, published three academic books and more than 40 papers on national journals like "Philosophy Research", the papers has been quoted for many times by "Xinhua Digest", "China Social Science Digest", she obtained the first prize of Heilongjiang Social Science in 2010.

Bai Yexin, female, born on Feb. 1st 1973, PhD in philosophy, associate professor, master instructor, is currently the director of Science and Technology Major Committee of China Natural Dialectics Institute, head of Russia (Soviet) Major Committee of Heilongjiang Natural Dialectics Institute, executive director and deputy secretary-general of Heilongjiang Natural Dialectics Institute. Bai Yexin focuses the research on Soviet-Russia Philosophy of Science and Technology, published the monograph On Soviet Philosophy Research of Technology, and many of her papers got feedback from "China Social Science Digest", "Xinhua Digest," "College Arts Academic Digest", copying data of Renmin University. Bai Yexin , during 2008-2010, has presided over a common project of National Social Science Fund, that is í░The Change of Philosophy of Technology Research Program and its Ideology Features Research  Under Sovietí»s Social Transformationí▒, obtain in 2010 the first prize of Heilongjiang Social Science Outstanding Scientific Research.

Regional Economics

1. Major Introduction

Cultivation Orientations: Regional Economics Major recruits and cultivates postgraduates in four orientations, namely, 1) Regional Economic Theory and Policy, 2) Comparative Study of Regional Economic Development Model, 3) East Asia Economic Research, 4) Economic Research in Border Areas

Cultivation Objectives: to master the solid basic theories and system knowledge of economics, to concern about the new phenomena and new problems in economic practice, to study the frontier topics of economy, to foster innovation and enhance research capacity, to use the operating skills of computer and internet to search and solve economic data, to master a foreign language and be able to skillfully read foreign literature of economy, to possess the ability of engaging in economic jobs and scientific research.

Educational Period: 3Years

Credit Requirements: postgraduate examinations adopt the hundred mark system; the passing line for non-degree classes is 60, and 75 for degree classes, the total credits should be more than 36 credits
